Project Regeneración
Working for the regeneration and preservation of our communities
Project Regeneración is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2023, dedicated to restoring historic barrio communities in El Paso, Texas. We believe the history of El Paso cannot be complete without acknowledging the role these neighborhoods have played — and that current and future generations share a vision of these neighborhoods existing and thriving in a restored and preserved state.
Our Three Pillars
The foundation of our work in restoring and preserving historic barrio communities.
Community Organizing
Organizing and advocating to integrate residents into civic life and address neighborhood needs. Ensuring community voices are heard in decision-making processes.
Restoration & Housing
Acquiring and restoring historic buildings, improving living conditions, and increasing affordable housing so displaced residents can return home.
Culture & Heritage
Honoring history, heritage, and cultural traditions through festivals, concerts, dances, art activities, history tours, and documentary screenings.
“Barrio communities hold immense historical and cultural significance within our city, representing the heritage and diversity that contribute to our collective identity.”
